We are delighted to welcome two new PhD candidates and four undergraduate students to the Department of Pediatric Physiology! Their arrival has already led to an increase in stimulating research discussions.<\/span><\/p>\n

While there is an immense amount of foundational knowledge to master, we believe that knowledge acquired through hands-on experience, such as experiments and vigorous debate, is more memorable and significantly enhances learning efficiency. We are committed to providing an environment that facilitates this kind of experiential learning.<\/span><\/p>\n

The career paths available after studying life sciences are virtually boundless. It is crucial that we mentor our students and provide opportunities tailored to help them determine the specific skills and knowledge needed for their chosen direction.<\/span><\/p>\n

The application guidelines for the Tohoku University Graduate School, where I serve as a Visiting Professor, will be announced in late May (for October and the following April intake). If you are considering applying for graduate studies, please feel free to contact me at any time for consultation.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

We are also currently recruiting one Postdoctoral Fellow (Researcher) for the Pediatric Physiology Research Department. We aim to provide research enthusiasts with an environment where they can fully dedicate themselves to their work. This is a highly recommended, full-time (5 days a week) position, funded by the Center's budget. If you are interested, please contact Dr. Mori<\/b> with your CV<\/b>!<\/span><\/p>\n

\nA high school student stayed in our lab<\/span>
\nWe welcomed a high school student with a strong interest in medicine and scientific research. During the stay in our lab for 2 weeks, the student showed special curiosity toward biology and experimental techniques to probe into human diseases. The student was good at English communication and courageous enough to visit an unfamiliar environment far from home and to meet people including me at the age around father. I hope the student found it fun and the stay was valuable and helpful for the student to enjoy life.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nWe attended the 4th conference of the Scientific Research on Innovative Areas, \u201cInterplay of developmental clock and extracellular environment in brain formation\u201d held in Kanazawa. Faidruz Azura Jam, Yosuke Kadota and I made presentations. Azura was awarded \u201cthe Excellent Poster Award\u201d for her presentation on homeostasis in the developing brain. Congratulations ! We could meet great researchers aiming at shared interests. The experiences without doubt put our researches forward.<\/span><\/p>\n
